BERNARDA FINK AT LINCOLN CENTER 

Internationally renowned Slovenian singer, Bernarda Fink will perform as part of the Art of the Song and Alice Tully Hall Pick Four series. 

The Times of London recently praised Fink saying, “With her lovely multicolored mezzo voice she takes the direct route to a song’s heart every time.”

PERŠERNOV DAN CONCERT 

In celebration of Slovene Cultural Day (Peršernov dan) the Chruch of St. Cyril is pleased to present a concert with organist Gasper Konec and saxophonist Lenart Krečič.  The concert will feature two folk songs from the Prekmurje region, "Nede Mi Več Rasla" and "Staro Leto je Minolo / Ne Jouči Za Mene, Mati," specially arranged by Krečič.

PHOTOGRAPHY PROJECT: SLOVENES IN AMERICA

Photographer Manca Juvan seeks colaborators for a project exploring what defines the Slovene minority in the United States.  Juvan hopes to photograph and interview as many  Slovenes and Americans of Slovene origin as possible.  Aside from the photographic works, the recorded sound will also be used in a multimedia piece and a story to be published in Sobotna priloga Dela. For inquires about the project or to express interest in participating please contact Manca Juvan mancajuvan(at)gmail.com.
